Chess is growing in the Huon Valley. There are plenty of opportunities for a game if you’re interested. Don’t know how to play? Most of Huon Valley Chess activities are beginner friendly.
Huon Valley Chess Club
Huon Valley Chess Club meets every Wednesday, 6PM at Ranelagh Soldiers Hall, 40 Marguerite St, Ranelagh. The club is casual, open to all and beginner friendly. The first Wednesday of each month we hold a themed competition.
Schools Program
Every School in the Huon Valley has a chess program. Black Square Chess runs the schools chess program in the Huon Valley and the whole state.
